Steve Sigmond
Steve is a technology and finance executive with 25+ years' experience in investing, advising, and running early-stage companies. His most recent exit was as Founder, CFO, and VP Marketing at Carrot Health, a Minneapolis-based healthcare analytics SAAS company that was acquired by Unite Us in 2021. Steve was recognized by Twin Cities Business as a “Notable Leader in Finance” in 2021.
Steve’s background in early-stage investing spans three decades. As a Venture Partner at BlueStream Ventures, a $280 million VC fund, he sourced new investment opportunities and advised portfolio companies. Prior to joining BlueStream, Steve founded one of Wall Street’s first and best-known Internet equity research practices at Wessels, Arnold & Henderson / RBC Capital Markets, where he sponsored 56 public market financings for leading emerging technology companies. Steve was recognized by Institutional Investor as a “Home Run Hitter” and “Best of the Boutiques” analyst, and twice by The Wall Street Journal as a “Best on the Street” winner.
Steve holds a BS in Physics and AB in Economics from Stanford University and a MSE in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
Kelly Prchal
A healthcare and retail executive with 20+ years of experience across the healthcare continuum at Optum, North Memorial Health, University of Minnesota Physicians, Target, and Gallagher Benefit Services. She has served in numerous operating roles, including strategic planning, business development, marketing, consumer engagement, and project management.
Kelly is CEO of Clean Waste Systems, a venture-backed healthcare technology company focused on reducing medical waste emissions, and Founder of Watertown Consulting LLC, a healthcare business development and strategy consultancy.
Recognized by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal in 2023 as a “Twin Cities Finest” honoree for her work with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Kelly also serves on the Board of Advisors for Girls With Impact, a 501(c)(3) focused on providing executive and entrepreneurship skills for our next generation of female leaders.
Kelly holds a BS in Health Systems from Georgetown University and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Business and School of Public Health.
Morgan Evans
Morgan is a medtech founder and executive with a background in general management, M&A, business development, R&D, clinical, and sales. Morgan started her career at Autonomic Technologies Inc, a venture backed neuromodulation start-up, before moving to Minneapolis to join Medtronic in Corporate Development.
Morgan's primary responsibility is her role as Co-Founder and CEO of Agitated Solutions, Inc., a medical device company. Morgan also is a co-founder of Moonshot Medical, a medical device incubator, and Founder and Executive Director of Highland Circle Innovations, a medtech services firm focused on development, quality, regulatory, and strategy consulting. An active angel investor, Morgan is a co-founder of the investment group RTKM Investments LLC.
Morgan holds a BS in Biomechanical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Ryan Spanheimer
Ryan is a practicing patent attorney and shareholder at a large law firm. Ryan has developed a specialization in medical technology, having worked extensively with medical devices in a variety of fields, such as cardiac, vascular, neurological, orthopedic and ocular, as well as a variety of medical imaging modalities and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
In addition to his deep medical technology experience, Ryan has a detailed understanding of technology development and market commercialization, working regularly with both early-stage and mature medtech businesses to spot technical disruption and growth opportunities in relevant target markets.
Ryan holds a BS in Engineering, with a minor in Business Administration, from Marquette University and a JD (Magna Cum Laude) from Marquette University Law School.
